Tayra is an incremental open source backup and restore tool for MongoDB and brings intelligent backup to your MongoDB implementation. Data is precious and is increasingly becoming a source of revenue or competitive advantage for businesses. We built Tayra to allow IT departments to utilise the power and flexibility of MongoDB whilst protecting their data from corruption or loss.
Tayra can be viewed as an external and persistent oplog that is stored on the file system instead of residing within MongoDB. The files generated can then be used to restore the data incrementally to any target MongoDB instance, which can be injected into a replica set in case of any event that threatens the availability of service.
